Denpasar – Robotics and Embedded Systems Student Activity Unit (UKM RADE) ITB STIKOM Bali, Saturday – Sunday, 27 – 28 May 2023 has participated in the 2023 Bali State Polytechnic Robot Competition (PNBRC) organized by the Bali State Polytechnic Robotics Student Activity Unit which carries the theme “Technology Harmonization” PNBRC 2023 involving high school/vocational high school participants and universities throughout Indonesia.
In the series of PNBRC 2023 events, there will be 3 competitions, namely Inovasi Karya Cipta Teknologi (IKCT) competition, the Line Follower competition, and the Sumobot competition. From these competitions, UKM RADE participated in 2 branches of the competition, namely the Line Follower competition and the Sumobot competition. UKM RADE sent 6 teams who were ready to participate in the event consisting of 1 line follower team and 5 sumobot teams.
In the Line Follower competition, the sticom cerya team was represented. The members of the cerya sticom team are Anak Agung Ayu Citra Maharani from the Information Systems study program and I Kadek Kertayasa from the Information Technology study program. The implementation of the competition was very stressful because it was driven by a short time and the team representatives had to identify errors in the logic flow of the robot’s running in the arena. There are several logical errors in the flow of the robot in the arena, so it takes more time to rearrange the flow so that the robot can cross the line properly. In this competition, the sticom cerya team participated in the preliminary round and managed to get 13th place.
In the Sumobot competition, 5 teams were represented, each consisting of 2 people, namely the Yubi team, the Baja Warriors team, the Steak.com team, the noisy boy team and the Barbarian Squad New Evolution team. First, there is a yubi team whose members are I Kadek Agus Ari Setiawan from the Information Systems study program and I Gusti Agung Bayu Krisnanda from the Information Systems study program. Second, there is a team of warriors whose members are I Gusti Semarabawa from the Computer Systems study program and I Kadek Agus Ananda Diputra from the Computer Systems study program. Third, there is the steak.com team whose members are Bryan Fortino Kurniawan from the Computer Systems study program and Kadek Dharma Yudha from the Computer Systems study program. Fourth, there is a noisy boy team whose members are Dewa Gede Agung Herry Cahya Dinata from the Digital Business study program and I Gusti Ngurah Agung Ananda Putra from the Information Technology study program. Finally, there is the new evolution squad barbarian team whose members are I Putu Diada Uli Darsana from the Computer Systems study program and I Gusti Ngurah Santika from the Computer Systems study program. The competition is quite tense and requires us to focus on the movements of the opposing robots. In the sumobot competition this time, the yubi team managed to qualify for the top 5 round and get 4th place.
The general chairman of UKM RADE, Aditya Naray Artamerta, thanked RADE UKM members for their participation in the 2023 PNBRC event to fulfill the Robotics and Embedded Systems Student Activity Unit Work Program (UKM RADE) for the 2023 period. We hope RADE UKM members will not be pessimistic about failing to win this time. Make the failure this time as a valuable lesson and a stepping stone to achieve achievements in the next race.
