UKM HIMATOGRAPHY ITB STIKOM Bali Participates in the 2025 OBSCURA IDB Bali National Photography Competition

Denpasar – Students from the Student Activity Unit (UKM) HIMATOGRAPHY ITB STIKOM Bali showed their enthusiasm and dedication in developing their potential through visual arts, by participating in the OBSCURA IDB BALI PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION which took place from Monday, March 17 to Thursday, June 19, 2025.

The competition, which carries the theme “The Role of the Young Generation in Nusantara Culture”, was organized by the Obscura IDB Bali community, a student organization of photography and videography lovers from the Bali Institute of Design and Business (IDB). Obscura is known as a creative space for students to explore the visual world through various activities such as workshops, photo shoots, to photo exhibitions and cross-disciplinary collaborations.

In this competition, UKM HIMATOGRAPHY ITB STIKOM Bali sent one of its best representatives, namely I Ketut Adi Putra (210010006), who took part in the national photography competition. The work produced by Adi Putra was published through an Instagram account as part of the judging process for the competition, which lasted for more than two months.

The Head of UKM HIMATOGRAPHY, I Kadek Arya Rama Suryadinatha, expressed his appreciation for the dedication of his members in participating in this competition. “We would like to thank Adi Putra for the active participation that has been shown, as well as part of the implementation of the UKM HIMATOGRAPHY work program for the 2025 period. We would also like to thank the UKM Supervisor for their support, criticism, and constructive suggestions,” he said.

Through participation in this competition, HIMATOGRAPHY ITB STIKOM Bali continues to show its existence in the world of visual arts, as well as becoming a positive forum for students to hone their creativity and technical capacity in the field of photography. This participation is expected to be an inspiration and trigger for other UKMs on campus
