Denpasar, – ITB STIKOM Bali officially welcomed 11 students from Dalian Neusoft University of Information (DNUI), China, as part of a student exchange program titled “Bali Cross Cultural Program DNUI Goes to ITB STIKOM Bali,” which will be held from July 1–10, 2025. The welcoming ceremony took place at Mertasari Beach, Denpasar, on Wednesday afternoon (July 2, 2025).
The Rector of ITB STIKOM Bali, Dr. Dadang Hermawan, stated that this program is part of a long-term collaboration between his university and DNUI, one of China’s leading universities.
“Prior to collaborating with DNUI, we have established similar programs with universities in France and Thailand. This year, DNUI has again shown great enthusiasm in participating in this student exchange,” said Dr. Dadang, accompanied by Prof. Minghong Sun (Lecturer from DNUI China) and Yudi Agusta, Ph.D. (Vice Rector III).

In addition to attending lectures at ITB STIKOM Bali, DNUI students will also participate in educational tourism activities to learn about the culture and natural beauty of Bali.
“These are highly educated international students, so they certainly won’t engage in behavior that tarnishes local culture, such as desecrating sacred sites or dressing inappropriately in temples,” Dr. Dadang emphasized.

He added that this international student exchange program not only strengthens relations between countries but also contributes to the country’s foreign exchange earnings.
“The presence of foreign students has a positive impact on the economy, while also introducing Indonesia’s potential to the world. Furthermore, STIKOM Bali students are also regularly sent abroad on similar programs and even receive salaries while studying,” he said.
Dr. Dadang stated that this scheme represents a mutually beneficial form of educational cooperation between Indonesia and China, while also encouraging the internationalization of the campus.
