ITB STIKOM Bali Submits Agung ARMed Application to Bali Province BPBD

Denpasar, May 27, 2025 – The Internal Community Service Program (PKM) Team of the Appropriate Technology Scheme (TTG) from ITB STIKOM Bali officially handed over the Agung Armed application along with books and brochures to support the use of the application to the Bali Provincial Disaster Management Agency (BPBD). The handover was carried out on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at the Pusdalops BPBD Bali Provincial Office, Denpasar. Agung ARmed is an Augmented Reality (AR)-based application developed as an innovation to support the delivery of disaster information to the public in a more interactive, interesting, and easy-to-understand manner. This application was developed by a team of lecturers and students from ITB STIKOM Bali under the coordination of Team Leader Ni Wayan Ari Ulandari, S.Kom., M.Kom., along with other members of the lecturer team, namely Dra. Ni Made Astiti, M.M.Kom., Ni Luh Gede Pivin Suwirmayanti, S.Kom., M.T., and I Putu Ramayasa, S.Kom., M.Kom.

The application submission was carried out directly by the development team to the ranks of the Bali Provincial BPBD and received by the Head of the Operations Control Section, Mr. Nyoman Arya Widia Atmaja, S.STP., M.A.P., accompanied by the Head of the Emergency Services Section, Putu Witha, S.E., and the Head of the Administration Sub-Division, Putu Agus Wiguna Usadhi, S.Kom., M.Si.

On that occasion, Nyoman Arya Widia Atmaja expressed his appreciation for the cooperation and support from the ITB STIKOM Bali team. “Thank you and the greatest appreciation to the ITB STIKOM Bali Team. Hopefully in the future we can establish cooperation in disaster management in Bali Province that is even more massive,” he said.

Responding to Nyoman Arya Widia Atmaja’s statement, Team Leader Ni Wayan Ari Ulandari, S.Kom., M.Kom., said that the Agung ARmed application is concrete evidence of synergy between universities and government agencies in utilizing appropriate technology that is relevant to the needs of the community, especially in the fields of education and disaster preparedness in Bali Province.
