Denpasar – In an effort to foster an entrepreneurial spirit among students, the ITB STIKOM Bali Digital Business Study Program Student Association successfully held its first workshop entitled “From Zero to Startup Hero: Build Your Business with BMC” on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the ITB STIKOM Bali Hall, Renon Campus.
This activity presented an atmosphere full of enthusiasm and inspiration. Attended by students from the 2022 to 2024 intake, this workshop aims to provide a practical understanding in building business ideas through the Business Model Canvas (BMC) approach. Present at this event were a number of important campus figures, such as the ITB STIKOM Bali Student Affairs Coordinator Mr. I G.N Wikranta Arsa, S.Kom., M.Cs, the Advisor of HIMA Digital Business Mrs. I Wayan Deriani, S.E., M.Kom, and the HIMA assistant Mrs. Ni Putu Nanik Hendayanti, S.Si., M.Si.
The event was officially opened by the Head of Digital Business Study Program, Mrs. I Wayan Deriani, S.E., M.Kom after previously starting with a nationalism procession and remarks from the Head of the Committee I Putu Putra Jaya and the General Chairperson of the HIMA Digital Business Study Program, Gusti Ristha Ayu Priyanty.

The main session of the workshop was filled by Mr. I Made Dwi Dharma Artanaya, S.E., Ak., M.M., who provided in-depth material on the importance of BMC in starting a business. He explained the nine main elements of BMC in a structured and applicable manner, so that participants were able to understand how to design a business model more concretely.
This workshop also presented interactive activities, starting from a question and answer session with prizes, to a simulation of compiling a BMC in groups. A total of nine groups of students compiled their business ideas within 30 minutes and were assessed directly by the speakers. The three best groups with innovative business ideas were selected, namely: Bengkel Oneng, Swara Bhumi, and Anomali Apparel Fashion. They got the opportunity to present their work in front of participants and speakers.
The workshop atmosphere became even more lively during the ice breaking session guided by the committee, where the three most enthusiastic participants were invited to go up on stage to play games and get attractive vouchers from Bisma Informatika.

As a closing, there was an awarding session for the best group, handing over souvenirs to the speakers, and taking a group photo as a form of documentation and sweet memories of this activity.
The Chairperson of the BMC 2025 Committee expressed his gratitude to all parties who had contributed to the success of this event. He hopes that this workshop can be a stepping stone for students in developing their business potential and building their dream startups since they were in college.
